As an expat with two years experience in KL with many more years and tens of thousands of kilometers in neighboring countries.
I would like to state for the record that in my opinion that Malaysians are the worst drivers. I do not understand why Proton bother to install mirrors, indicators or seat belts in their vehicles. These should be offered as optional extras. :)
Enforcement of traffic laws and regulations appear non existent. Police can often be observed flouting the laws. I have even seen a motorcycle officer sending sms while riding down the LDP.
One of my least favorite things is parents letting their young children stand on the seats while traveling. These parents should be fined heavily and have to undertake driver education. If this behavior is repeated after eduction and punishment, they should have their children taken into state care as they are obviously being neglected.
Wawasan 2020. Never! Hahasan 2020
